I've bought a bunch of iPod touch apps — far more than for my Mac. The low selling price hooked me. For example, I bought Scrabble for the touch, but haven't for the Mac ... and won't at $19.95.
Templates are fab. Stack iWork's preset formats next to the ones that come with Office and the words professional versus amateur instantly spring to mind.
There'd be less griping if Apple had called it iTube or iVideo or something other than iMovie. Regardless, it will introduce more folks to video editing.
Pages 08 has a function called Proofreader. It checks for things like capitalization after periods and question marks, double spaces between words, and will flag jargon and complex words ... but I don't think it's actually doing grammar checking.
I'm seeing lots of new users to the Mac. Especially college students with MacBooks. A large majority seem very impressed ... especially if they've lugged a Windows laptop for the past year or so with their weight and battery issues.
